Rocky Balboa (VI) - Inspirational Speech to his Son

I've had this quote extracted from Rocky 6 (Rocky VI) - Rocky Balboa for the longest time as a signature in my emails.

Now I've finally decided to put up the actual clip here.

The speech starts somewhere in the middle of the video.

In this last installment of the Rocky series, Balboa's son (Robert Balboa - played by Milo Ventimiglia, better known as Peter Petrelli from the TV Series "Heroes") is having a hard time in his life and career, living in the shadow of his once almighty father, the legendary boxing heavyweight champion of the world, Rocky Balboa.

And when Rocky, after having retired for many years, decides to do a comeback fight, it proves to be the last straw for Robert and he lashes out at Rocky, dissuading him to go ahead with it.

But Rocky takes this chance to share how he truly feels about Robert's position, and turns the table around to inspire Robert to be more, do more and take responsibility of who he is and who he wants to become.

Here's the excerpt:
"Somewhere along the line, you changed.
You stopped being you.
You let people stick a finger in your face, and tell you you're no good.
And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame...like a big shadow.
Let me tell you something you already know; the world ain't all sunshine and rainbows.
It's a very mean and nasty place.
And I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
You, me, nobody...is gonna hit as hard as life.
But it ain't about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can Get hit, and keep moving forward;
how much you can take, and keep moving forward.
That's how winning is done.
Now if you know what you're worth, go out and get what you're worth.
But you got to be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody.
Cowards do that, and that ain't you!
You're better than that!
Until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life."
